Reflection by Alex
Five things I learned about the role of a president during this project is that they have to work very hard just to become the president. This is important for campaigning because they have to work so hard and spend a lot of money. I learned that in voting you don't get the total amount of votes, you just get states. You should know this so when you get to vote you'll understand it. I learned that the president has to make some very hard decisions, and either way they might have people mad at them. The president is under a lot of preasure in these situations and it's important that he can think it through and make the right decision. I've also learned that the presidents never really get any free time, especially in times like these.
I think this was a fun project. It really helped me understand a lot more, and learn a lot more about the canidates. If I were going to describe this project to someone outside of school I would say that we had a group. Each group had to pick a canidate. Then you would have to be on a campaign, and write a biography, a speech, and a policy. I think that this projct would make me a better voter when I grow up becaus e now I will know to research the canidates before I vote.

F i v e things that I learned about the role of the president in this project were that the president has to keep policies to improve the country, he has to keep his promises about the policies, policies are a critical part of the election, Barack Obama is big on lowering taxes, and John McCain healthcare plan is bad for the middle class.

Five things I learned about this was every thing
Policy by Madison
Barack Obama has been preaching for change like our high gas prices is one of the key issues in America. While John McCain wants oil prices to become five doallers a gallon or more. Barack has actually figured out how to use Cafe renuable fuel that gas stations can sell for two doallers a gallon or less and still make a profit.
Barack Obama is very much raising taxes on the rich but he is lowering taxes on the poor and it's not just government issues he's using the money for but he is using the money also for natural disaters. Like the hurricanes that have been hittin g the states ever so often. The taxes will also only be high for a litle while so there's no reason to make a big fuss about it.
Barack Obama will be helping in the healthcare crisis that has been going on for years. He is lowering prices on new drugs and is increasing income for pharmacy workers as well as other jobs. Which in turn will make profits for pharmacies up so they can make more medicine and vacines for people. He is also having doctors do research on new things so we can have cures that we desperatly need for diseases like cancer and aids.
Barack Obama is standing against the prices that are hurting our economy. He will give higher income to teachers so theyn can work longer and harder because we are losing teachers around america bnecause they have such msmall salaris that they can find better work anywhere. He is also giving more money to schools so they can buy new textbooks and materials to use to help improve education and our economy's future.
Barack has been trying to get the troops out of Iraq because we are losing soldiersm every day for no good reason and if we pullt hem out it will make families happier. He also is prepared for anything if they try to pull off another nine eleven so there's really no reason to keep our troops in Iraq.
I learned what Obama stands for. I also learned about what he thinks on the issues. It is important because you need to know what the candidates will do if they get elected. I would describe this project as fun. I would also say it was tough and sometimes hard but over all it was fun. This project will make me a better voter because I will listen to what to the candidate has to say and not just pick.

My fellow Americans I have 5 issues I would like to talk to you about. The first issue is education, my plan is to provide critical support to young children and their parents. Challenge grants to promote state ''Zero to five efforts and help states move toward voluntary, universal pre-school. Biden and I will Quadruple for both.
My plan for new energy is to help create five million new jobs by strategically investing $150 billion over- the next ten years to catalyze private efforts to build a clean energy future. Ensure 10 percent of our electricty comes from renewable sources by 2012, and 25 percent by 2025.
My plan to help health care and the congresses plan will cover all essential medical services, including preventive, maternity and metal health care. Affordable premiums and simplified paper work in health costs.
My plan for taxes/economy is me and Biden will restore fairness to the tax code and provide 150 million workers the tax relief they need. Me and Biden will create a new ''Making work pay'' tax credit of up to $500 per person, or $1,000 per working family.
My plan to protect Social Security benefits current and future beneficiaries alike. As part of a bipartisan plan that would be phased in over many years, they will ask those making over $250,000 to contribute a bit more to Social Security to keep it sound.

Economy/ Taxes:If I am elected president I will implement a 21st century economic agenda to help ensure that Americacan completein a global economy, and ensure the middle class is thriving and growing. I shall increase all investments in infrastructure. Our greater opportunity relief to more Americans with implement trade policies benefit American workers.
Education: I think that america's history education has been social economic mobility opportunity to over millions of younger people. If I am in the white house the schools should prepare students not only to meet there goals in life, also to help students take place as committed citizens around the world. I think that the schools should have advanced classes for the ones who want it.
Energy: I Barack Obama am all for the energy in the U.S. I have been a leader in pushing for a fantastic energy policy. It has introdued a very high number of bills. I think that if we want more energy we have to recycle more.
Healthcare: I believe that every American has the right to pay for healthcare or to work it off. I think it is sad that millions of Americans who can't take care of thier children when they are sick. Right now is the perfect chance to turn that around. Around the rough areas we need to build hospitals.
John McCain says that he is all for guns, but when he says that he does not know what he is doing. So he says everybody can have a gun, so if a 13 year old had a gun and he is showing off for his friends he could kill him self or someone else.
I went to harvard law school most people say that it is impresive, also went to university of Columbia and also taught at contitutional law at the University of Chicago.
