Policies by Matt

Barack Obama is focused on many issues in the country and the world. Some of these issues are Economy/Taxes, Education, Energy, Environment and Healthcare.

Economy/Taxes- Barack Obama promises that America will be able to compete in global economy and make sure that the American middle class will remain strong and grow. He will simplify our tax code so it will provide greater oppurtunities for jobs in America and apply trade policies that will help American workers and increase the exportation of American goods.

Education- Barack Obama promises students to meet the requirements of the global economy but also help them take their place as socially commited and engaged citizens. He will strengthen our public schools to maximize the American people.

Healthcare- Barack Obama believes that every American should be able to afford healthcare. He says that we have to bring together businesses, the medical community and members of both parties so everybody can afford healthcare. He says it's time to let the drug industries and the insurance industries that know that they can't take over the medical industry.

Energy-Senator Obama has been a leader in pushing for an affordable national energy policy and has applied a number of bills to give us energy independence.

Environment- He will find common ground on CAFE, renewable fuels and clean coal by putting aside partisan battles.
